Health and Safety Manager Required in Essex. GVR Solutions are currently representing a well-established main contractor who are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead and continuously improve the company’s Safety, Health, Environment and Quality management systems. As a main contractor, they work on primarily high-end fit out and refurbishment projects in the Commercial and Leisure sectors with values ranging from 10K - 1m. They also work on larger schemes which could go up to 20m in total in the Data Centre sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to lead and continually improve the company’s SHEQ strategy
- Influence a positive safety, quality and environmental culture throughout the business
- Undertake responsibilities as the principal advisor on SHEQ matters to site teams, Directors and Contracts Managers
- Proficiency in developing, implementing and maintaining company health and safety procedures
- Have all responsibility for the company’s SHEQ function
- Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses when they occur
- Supervise Phase Plans, RAMS and site-specific safety documentation
- Carry out regular site inspections and audits
- Keep company policies, procedures and management systems up to date
- Oversee site audits, inspections, incident investigations and corrective actions
- Support site teams on SHEQ matters
