GVR Solutions are working with a well-established specialist interior contractor delivering high-quality packages across commercial fit out projects in London. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Document Controller to support project teams and ensure smooth document management across multiple sites. The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, distributing, and controlling project documentation in line with company procedures and project requirements. This is a key role supporting project managers, site teams, and external consultants.

Responsibilities of the Document Controller:

  • Accurate and locatable uploading of information
  • Creating live job folders on Procore/Sharepoint and ensuring the correct site team are given access to the folders
  • The uploading of internal drawings, client drawings and submittals & RFIs to Procore
  • Downloading of comments and distributing to the correct site teams, keeping tracker schedules up to date
  • Uploading information to Client portals in a timely fashion using the protocols provided by the main contractor, such as drawings, technical submittals and samples
  • Completing security checks and clearance for high profile jobs, keeping tracker up to date of cleared personnel
  • Maintain confidentiality around sensitive documentation
  • Working on multiple live projects at one time
  • Assisting site teams with the health and safety documents, such as Method statements & Friday packs

The Document Controller must have/be:

  • Previous experience as a Document Controller within construction
  • Strong understanding of document control processes and construction workflows
  • Proficient with common document management systems
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and methodical approach
