CAD/BIM Technician required in London.

GVR Solutions are currently working with an existing client of ours who specialise in the drylining sector. They cover a wide range of commercial fit out projects across London and the southeast.

They are looking for an experienced CAD/BIM Designer to join their well-established design team. The right candidate will be able to take a strong lead in projects and have extensive knowledge with all drywall systems.

Responsibilities of the CAD/BIM Technician:

  • Be responsible for producing and setting out drawings and models for the approval of our clients whilst meeting their specification.
  • Making sure all elements drawn are priced for and correct.
  • Liaising with estimating / Surveyors for possible changes to contracts, pricing awareness.
  • Leading weekly meetings.
  • Attend project Sites to compare drawings and specification as and when needed.
  • Working with strict program dates to be upheld.
  • Keeping track of comments received, checking back to make sure no extras are added.

The CAD/BIM Technician must have/be:

  • A high amount of experience as a CAD/BIM Technician.
  • Must be able to demonstrate working for a subcontractor.
  • Ability to plan workload effectively to design programme.
  • Ability to work on their own or as part of a design team on specific projects.
  • Eye for detail and problem solving.
  • Flexible in approach depending on project specific requirements.
  • Strong motivation, organisation and communication skills.
  • The ability to work well under pressure.
  • A driven attitude.
