GVR Solutions is currently working alongside a well-established main contractor with a turnover of £6.5m, who focus on Commercial and Industrial Refurbishment projects in Essex valued between £500k - £1m. Due to continuous and positive growth, they are in the market for an experienced Project Manager that has a proven background in the Commercial and Industrial market.

As Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Dealing with the full life cycle of the project - from being awarded the job to handover and final account
  • Day to day running of a project
  • Cost management
  • Programme management
  • Visiting sites and having the confidence to deal with big clients
  • Manage the teams on the ground
  • Strong leadership to have limited hierarchy with a silent undertone that they do know who’s running the project

The Project Manager must have/be:

  • Professional and presentable, with a driven, proactive approach to work
  • Commercially astute
  • Experience on Commercial or Industrial projects is advantageous
  • An understanding of the programming system Builder Trend
  • A high level of quality control
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety requirements
  • Good communication skills as well as the ability to liaise with the client
  • Documentation & reporting skills
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid
