Assistant Quantity Surveyor required in Essex. GVR Solutions are currently representing a very well-established main contractor, based in Essex, who are actively in the market for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. As a main contractor, they primarily work within the Commercial, Hospitality and Bespoke Residential sectors providing fit out and refurbishment services.
As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor you will:
- Assist in establishing a clientβs requirements and undertake feasibility studies
- Ensure the commercial targets are achieved including project and programme cost, quality and time
- Assist the costing of the project, budgeting, and cash flows
- Carry out measurement for valuations
- Analyse progress and reporting
- Identify opportunities and risks
- Attend post tender and pre-contract meetings
- Prepare summary reports for the client and other stakeholders
The Assistant Quantity Surveyor must have/be:
- Quantity Surveying/Construction Degree Qualified or Construction related education
- 1 β 2 years minimum experience in a Quantity Surveying position
- Must be computer literate
- Full driving licence required
- CSCS card ideal but not a necessity
- Any construction experience is a bonus but not necessary
