Assistant Site Manager required in West London GVR Solutions are currently representing a reputable client, who are a well-established Main contractor based in London, who are seeking an Assistant Site Manager to join their team on a challenging and complex refurbishment project in West London. Project: Heritage commercial building Description: £1.8m complex refurbishment which includes a double extension of an old building that is being transformed into a community centre that will having meeting rooms, break-out areas etc. The buildings structure is going to be retained however they are lowering the slab to allow for higher ceilings and new drainage and infrastructure to be installed. Structural steels are being installed throughout. Location: West London Salary: Up to £40K Assistant Site Manager duties & responsibilities: * Reporting to and assisting the Site Manager in daily duties * Managing sub-contractors * Ensuring deadlines and programmes of work are adhered to * Maintain quality and accuracy of all finishes * Ensure health and safety polices are followed on site * Building good working relationships with other staff and departments Assistant Site Manager requirements: * 1-3 years’ experience in a Supervisory / Management position working for a main contractor * Degree qualification or equivalent in Construction Management or related field * An understanding of the Construction process, Site operations and scheduling * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (MS Word, Excel) etc. * SMSTS or SSSTS desirable * First Aid certification is ideal * CSCS Card is essential If you are interested in the above Assistant Site Manager position, then please get in touch
