GVC are assisting a well-established, RCVS-accredited veterinary practice in Petersfield with the recruitment of a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and experienced team.
With a strong reputation built over many years, the practice has grown into a multi-site team with excellent facilities, modern equipment and a real focus on providing high-quality patient care.
The Role
- Salary up to £60,000, dependent on experience
- Full-time, 40 hours per week over 4 days
- Weekend rota currently around 1 in 4.5, with time off in lieu the following week
- No night shifts – a dedicated night team provides overnight cover
- Varied GP caseload covering both medicine and surgery
- Option for a consult-only or medicine-biased role if preferred

The Clinical Environment
The practice has multiple surgeries across the local area, with modern facilities and access to a wide range of clinical services.
You’ll have access to:
- Laparoscopic surgery and endoscopy

- A dedicated night team to ensure excellent continuity of care
- A large and experienced veterinary and nursing team
- A mobile veterinary service providing home visits for routine care and end-of-life support
About You
We’re looking for a confident Small Animal Vet who enjoys a varied GP caseload and is comfortable working independently.
You'll ideally:
- Have experience in small animal practice
- Be confident with consultations and managing your own caseload
- Be comfortable with sole-charge work
- Be able to perform routine/basic surgical procedures
- Have excellent client communication skillsEnjoy working as part of a larger, collaborative team
