4 Nights On, 8 Nights Off - Night RVN Wanted at a 24-Hour Hospital in West London £37,000 to £43,475 | CT on Site | Private Medical | Advanced Orthopaedic and Soft Tissue Caseload
Who they are
This is a busy, well-equipped 24-hour small animal hospital in West London with an experienced clinical team and excellent diagnostic and surgical facilities. Advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue and minimally invasive procedures are routine here, with CT and ultrasound available on site and a strong medical team working alongside experienced surgeons throughout. This is a hospital that generates a genuinely varied and stimulating overnight caseload - the kind of role where you never quite know what will walk, limp, wobble or occasionally be carried through the door next.
What you will do
You will be working alongside experienced surgeons and nurses caring for hospitalised patients and treating emergency and critical care presentations overnight. The rota is four nights on and eight nights off, averaging 37 hours per week - a pattern that gives genuine time off between blocks and suits RVNs who want to work intensively and then step away completely. One in five weekends requiring cover. Permanent position. The hospital is looking for an RVN with experience working in a hospital environment, confidence assisting with surgery and anaesthesia and the ability to nurse emergency and critical patients comfortably in an overnight setting.
What you will gain
£37,000 to £43,475 depending on experience (FTE equivalent of £40,000 to £47,000 based on 40 hours). 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays pro rata. Two days paid CPD leave per year. RCVS and BVNA fees covered. Private medical insurance and medical cashback covering dental, physiotherapy, optician, chiropractic and more. Petplan 20% colleague discount. Generous colleague discounts and shopping discounts. 24-hour employee assistance programme. Paid 30-minute lunch breaks. Additional responsibility allowance and relocation assistance where applicable.
What they need from you
An RCVS registered RVN - or one in the process of registering - with hospital experience, confidence in surgery and anaesthesia assistance and genuine capability in emergency and critical care nursing overnight.
