A person is required to train in all aspects of industrial hose & coupling assembly, and become a key member of our team at our Guiseley site.

MAIN INITIAL DUTIES

  • Fabrication of all types of hose assembly in accordance with works instructions
  • Pressure testing of all completed hose assemblies
  • Marking / engraving of completed hose assemblies and couplings
  • Conversion / testing of quick release couplings
  • Preparation / packing and despatch of completed hose assemblies and couplings
  • Preparation of metallic hose assemblies for our existing welders
  • Checking of incoming goods
  • Storage & picking of components

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • No job specific knowledge & skills are required at this stage.
  • An interest in, and basic knowledge of mechanical engineering assembly.
  • An aptitude for ‘hands on’ manual work is essential.
  • A level of physical fitness to be able to manipulate loads up to Health & Safety limits.
  • A flexible approach towards workload & duties is required.
  • A full UK Driving Licence would be an advantage, but not essential at this stage.

TRAINING

Full on the job training will be provided along with progressive pay and conditions. This is a permanent position, subject to a 3 month trial period.

HOURS

37.5 hour week (Monday to Friday – 8.30 am to 4.30 pm day with a half hour lunch break)

Rate of pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour.
