An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team. . The post will be 0.8 WTE fixed term maternity cover for 6 months and may be extended to 12 months.
The post holder will provide an dietetic service for lung, breast and neurological cancers. The role will provide dietetic support alongside a multi-disciplinary team to patients along their cancer pathway including from diagnosis, through treatment and for those in long term follow up or palliative care.
We are a well-established team of 8 specialist dietitians and 1 dietetic assistant working in the Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital. The oncology dietetic team is highly respected within the oncology-haematology directorate and regularly undertake service improvement work to ensure a high quality, effective, safe & patient-focussed service.
We are looking for a dynamic & enthusiastic dietitian with effective communication, team working and problem solving skills to join our friendly & forward-thinking team. There will be leadership opportunities to support professional development and inhouse CPD opportunities., To deliver a service that aligns with the national priorities outlined by the NHS Long Term Plan + NHS Cancer Programme. The successful candidates will require some prior knowledge and experience of nutrition support and palliative care. An understanding of current issues relating to cancer care is required.
Effective team working, organisational, time management and communication skills are essential to support their role in this busy post.
£44,806 to £53,134 a year p.a inc HCA Pro rata
