Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Surgical Oncology Finance Manager within the Cancer and Surgery finance team at Guy\’s & St Thomas\’ NHS Foundation Trust.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide business partnering support to the Directorate for financial performance and planning activities.
2. Manage month-end reporting, forecasting, and financial planning in collaboration with clinicians and operational managers.
3. Present reports at Directorate meetings and contribute as a member of the Directorate’s Management Team.

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a professional accountancy qualification (CCAB or equivalent).
• Evidence of continuous professional development through relevant post-qualification experience or significant management accounting experience, preferably in a large, complex organization (NHS experience is beneficial but not essential).
• Strong communication and people skills, with the ability to present analysis and influence budget holders, emphasizing the importance of business partnering.
