Overview
Band 7 β Cancer Outpatient Occupational Therapist. We have an exciting opportunity to join our outpatient Occupational Therapy cancer rehabilitation team, covering clinics at Guy\βs Cancer Centre. We are a forward-thinking and innovative service, with our staff at the centre of achieving the vision for Guy\βs Cancer. We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and motivated Occupational Therapist with excellent clinical, communication, and people management skills to join our team and support the ongoing development of the service.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist cancer rehabilitation and symptom management to support patientsβ functional wellbeing and quality of life at all stages of their pathway.
- Deliver targeted one-to-one and group rehabilitation programmes for symptoms such as cancer-related fatigue, sleep disturbance, cancer-related cognitive impairment, breathlessness, and chemo induced peripheral neuropathy.
- Work predominantly within the Lung Oncology MDT clinics, with flexibility to support the wider cancer outpatient pathway as needed.
- Engage in a wide core training programme and contribute to leadership development and ongoing professional growth.
- Contribute to local and national agendas for cancer care, including presenting project work at national and international conferences.
