Our Client Support Services department has an opportunity for a Pro Rata Technician. This is available on a hybrid basis, offering home working for 2 days a week, with the other 3 days based in our office in Witham.
As a Pro Rata Technician, you will support our client base through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries through timely and accurate system entry. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of reinsurance whether that be within Pro Rata, Treaty, XOL or Reinsurance Premiums/Claims.
Responsibilities- Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts.
- Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds.
- Manage all Pro Rata post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps, including renewals.
- Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets.
- Participate in training sessions and provide input within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to assist with troubleshooting.
- Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, e.g., handling cash loss/large loss.
- Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure.
- Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.
