We are seeking resourceful and proactive professionals eager to advance their careers within a highly collaborative, market-leading team at Guy Carpenter in London or Israel.
In this role, you will broker treaty reinsurance for property, motor, and casualty lines of business within the Israeli market.
You will join a high-performing team where every individual’s unique skills and contributions are valued and respected.
Responsibilities
- Supporting the renewal of reinsurance programs, focusing on regional and multinational clients and prospects.
- Engaging with clients to understand their needs and foster strong, lasting relationships.
- Assisting in designing tailored reinsurance programs that meet client requirements and placing business with client-approved reinsurers.
- Negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions with reinsurers to secure favourable outcomes for clients.
- Preparing placement slips, cover notes, and contracts as required.
- Monitoring and following up on contract documentation to ensure timely processing.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with reinsurers, clients, and internal colleagues.
- Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of reinsurer capabilities, including product lines, capacity, and approvals.
- Staying informed of market conditions to better serve clients and negotiate optimal terms.
- Accurately documenting all correspondence in line with Guy Carpenter procedures.
- Managing reinsurance placement details efficiently through Guy Carpenter’s online portal (GC Market Place).
Requirements
- Solid knowledge of the insurance or (re)insurance market.
- Experience in property, motor, and/or casualty lines of business.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, and industry leaders at all levels.
- Ability to manage conflicts of interest and handle confidential information with discretion and integrity.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Preferably ACII qualified or actively working towards ACII qualification.
