Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC is a leading global risk and reinsurance specialist with more than 3,100 professionals in over 60 offices worldwide. The programme offers an accelerated foundation to a career in Guy Carpenter, combining structured learning sessions, on‑the‑job training and exposure to Analytics, Strategic Advisory, Strategy and Client Support teams. You will develop a deep understanding of insurance and reinsurance markets and work toward achieving the Advanced CII qualification within a Level 6 Senior Insurance Practitioner apprenticeship. We offer a competitive salary with structured performance‑based increases every six months during the two‑year programme. The role is full‑time, based in London, England.
What you will do
- Develop a thorough understanding of insurance and reinsurance markets.
- Build and develop strong client and market contacts.
- Support client teams with data verification, slip drafting and placement process reporting.
- Analyse client data and requirements and present risk management solutions.
- Prepare proposal components and presentations alongside senior colleagues ahead of client meetings.
What we are looking for
- Strong academic records – UK 2.1 degree or above.
- Very strong A’Level results ideally all at grades A and B, including Maths.
- Evidence of strong numeric ability.
- Strong verbal and writing skills.
- Superior organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise work when deadlines are tight.
- Strong interpersonal skills for establishing and developing constructive stakeholder relationships internally and externally.
- Exceptional problem‑solving skills and strong business acumen alongside a natural affinity with numbers and finance.
- Ability to adapt and be flexible to the changing demands of the business.
- Strong drive and motivation to succeed, both individually and as part of a team.
- Ability to work with a wide range of business technology from internal databases to Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams).
