Senior Reinsurance Technician in Essex

Our Client Support Services department has an opportunity for a Pro Rata Technician. This is available on a hybrid basis, offering home working for 2 days a week, with the other 3 days based in our office in Witham. As a Pro Rata Technician, you will support our client base through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries through timely and accurate system entry. We will rely on you to:

• Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts.
• Work with Market Fiduciary to assist with collection of funds.
• Manage all Pro Rata post, brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, ad hoc reporting requests, and all transactional process steps. This is inclusive of renewals.
• Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets.
• Participate in training sessions and provide input within the team and/or department for all aspects of reinsurance service processing to assist with troubleshooting.

What you need to have:

• Insurance/Reinsurance Premium/Claims experience, ie handling cash loss/large loss and a desire to move into the Reinsurance sector.
• Competent Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
• Willingness to learn and develop knowledge of technical account structure.
• Successful management of workload; with an ability to manage expectations.

• Experience of using London Market systems such as LORS and the IMR (Insurance Market Repository).
• Knowledge of CLASS system is useful for review of London market queries.
• Knowledge of Letters of Credit and the Citibank process.
