We have an exciting opportunity for an ASM to join our well established Company. Guttridge Limited is the leading UK manufacturer of conveyors, elevators and other specialist bulk materials handling equipment. We manufacture and supply bespoke machinery to various markets, including biomass, chemical, mineral and agricultural, both in the UK and overseas.
Responsibilities
- Work with Sales & Marketing Manager and other ASMs to make and maintain contact with key existing customers to encourage further sales.
- Assist in follow up of enquiries and quotations.
- Work with the client to identify specific needs including providing details to allow prompt conversion of enquiry into quotation.
- Maintain customer records and fully utilise the CRM system.
- Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives.
- Analyse regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.
- Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility.
- Report on regional sales results.
- Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions.
- Participate in discussions for expansion.
- Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction.
- Co-operate with other departments by maintaining good lines of communication and recognition of overlapping problems.
Ideal Candidate
- Should possess 3-5 years’ experience in sales or account management.
- Ideally will have mechanical engineering knowledge.
- Will have the ability to build strong customer relationships.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, with colleagues and team members, and aim to build advocates within the business.
- Should be able to positively work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Should have good negotiation and closing skills.
