We are looking for a passionate Design Engineer to join our existing team and years of knowledge and expertise in Bulk Materials Handling equipment. This is an office based position.
Key Accountabilities
- Design of core machinery using 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor)
- Designs/ modifications to standard machinery to suit the clients particular site requirements and/or engineering changes as required
- Creation of bills of materials for entry into the company’s ERP system
- Working with sales and development engineers to create new products from initial concept through to full production units
- Value engineering of current designs
- Use of DFM best practices to meet the needs of the production facility
- Working with the production operatives to increase production efficiency through better machine design and the design of jigs and fixtures
- Enhancing the customer satisfaction levels to be the major focus
- Be forward thinking and raise new ideas and working methods to increase the department’s throughput.
The Candidate
- High levels of quality standard are essential
- Have good attention to detail
- Ability to liaise with other departments as appropriate
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office products
- Have Autodesk Inventor experience or similar
- Industry experience preferred
- Design experience essential (minimum 1 year)
