Responsibilities:
- Support the Food Services team in delivering food safety standards through efficient storage, preparation, production and service.
- Correct and economical use of equipment and materials in compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
- Control stock and storage of goods complying with Food Safety Legislation.
- Receive, store and issue all goods in compliance with protocols, ensuring quality, quantity and correct storage.
- Maintain chilled, frozen and ambient storage areas to agreed standards.
- Support the duty Supervisor in effective stock level control, minimising waste.
- Weigh ingredients following agreed protocols.
- Clean, stock and maintain vending machines daily in compliance with local protocols.
- Compliance with cash handling procedures, including vending and Electronic Point of Sale, reporting discrepancies to the Duty Supervisor.
- Assist with service of meals and beverages to patients, staff and visitors.
