GutMapDx is a specialist gut health testing company offering advanced laboratory tests to Health Practitioners. Our tests are used by functional medicine practitioners, nutritionists, and health clinics across the UK to deliver actionable insights for their clients. We're growing fast, and we're looking for someone to help us build and nurture the health practitioner relationships that sit at the heart of what we do.
The role involves owning a defined portfolio of practitioner accounts, largely functional medicine practitioners, nutritionists, and clinic leads, and becoming the person they trust when it comes to gut health testing. This isn't a hard-sell role; it's about being consistently present, genuinely helpful, and building the kind of relationships that mean practitioners think of us first.
Day to day, you'll run a high volume of outreach; calls, follow-ups, and touchpoints timed around your accounts' natural ordering cycles. You'll support our practitioner webinars and in-person events, using them as natural moments to deepen relationships and introduce new products or test updates.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing a portfolio of accounts with proactive, high-frequency outreach - calls, check-ins, and follow-ups as a core part of your week.
- Working dynamically around sales cycles, webinars, and in-person events to time your outreach for maximum impact.
- Building genuine, long-term relationships with health practitioners - helpful and present, without being pushy.
- Tracking account activity in our portal and identifying opportunities to grow account value over time.
- Working towards both personal and company targets - with bonuses and incentives.
- Acting as the internal voice of your accounts - feeding back practitioner insights to help shape our product and content.
What we’re looking for:
The non-negotiables:
- Strong communicator, confident on the phone and in meetings, clear in writing, easy to deal with.
- Experience in account management / customer service.
- Self-motivated and organised, comfortable managing a high volume of accounts and working towards targets.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-moving company where your work has real impact.
- A genuine interest in health; you find this space interesting, not just a job.
- Right to work in the UK - we’re unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Nice to have:
- Experience working with health practitioners, clinics, or within a healthcare or wellness setting.
- Background in lab testing, diagnostics, or health-based products.
- A personal or professional background in fitness, nutrition, or functional medicine.
What we offer:
- High bonus potential - ~40% of salary on target earnings.
- 4 days in our York office, 1 day working from home (optional).
- A fast-growing company where your role can evolve quickly; as we scale, so can your responsibilities and career.
- A role where you're genuinely close to the product and the science.
How to apply:
Send your CV and a short note about why this role interests you to career@gutmapdx.com. No formal cover letter needed, just tell us a bit about yourself and what draws you to health and to GutMapDx.
