We are looking for an inspirational General Manager with a successful proven track record, who understands the discerning customer for an award-winning iconic gastropub in Kent.

My client is a well-known and successful gastropub group with:

  • Award-winning site in a prestigious area
  • High quality all fresh food European menu, aiming for rosette level
  • 60:40 food and drink split
  • Extensive beer selection and wine list

The successful candidate would work with the management to continue its achievements, looking to push the boundaries and use customer satisfaction to drive sales. Responsibilities include:

  • Freedom to run the business
  • Recruit their team
  • Select suppliers
  • Manage the menus, specials points of sale, drinks lists
  • Deliver total customer satisfaction
  • Supervise and motivate team members, fostering a positive work environment
  • Coordinate food safety protocols and maintain compliance with health regulations
  • Support in managing inventory levels, ordering supplies, and controlling costs effectively
  • Assist with staff scheduling, training programmes, and performance evaluations to optimise team productivity
  • Handle customer enquiries and resolve issues promptly to uphold high service standards
