At Gusto, we're looking for an ambitious, commercially minded, and community-focused Sales & Events Manager to drive sales growth across our beautiful restaurants in Cheadle and Knutsford. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for hospitality with your flair for networking, business development, and event planning.
Working closely with our General Managers, Marketing Team, and wider operational teams, you'll play a key role in generating revenue, growing brand awareness, and creating compelling reasons for guests to choose Gusto for celebrations, corporate events, networking occasions, and memorable dining experiences.

The Role
As Sales & Events Manager, you will take ownership of driving sales and event bookings across both Gusto Cheadle and Gusto Knutsford. You will proactively seek opportunities to generate new business, develop local partnerships, manage event enquiries, and create engaging experiences that increase guest visits and revenue. This role is a fantastic blend of sales, networking, event management, relationship building, and hospitality operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Generation & Sales
- Take ownership of sales performance and revenue generation across both restaurants.
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline through networking, prospecting, referrals, and local partnerships.
- Convert enquiries into confirmed bookings through exceptional relationship management.
- Identify and develop opportunities for corporate bookings, celebrations, community events, and private dining experiences.
- Monitor sales activity, enquiry conversion, and pipeline performance through regular reporting.
- Review booking patterns and sales data with General Managers to identify growth opportunities.
- Work alongside the Senior Sales & Events Manager to achieve and exceed agreed KPIs and revenue targets.
- Events & Community Engagement
- Create and deliver exciting, on-brand events that drive footfall and increase guest engagement.
- Build strong relationships with local businesses, community groups, event organisers, and key stakeholders.
- Represent Gusto at networking events, business forums, and community functions.
- Develop local partnerships that generate measurable sales and long-term brand awareness.
- Lead planning and promotion of key trading periods, including Christmas, throughout the year.
- Guest Experience
- Ensure every guest journey reflects the Gusto brand and hospitality standards.
- Personally host and support key events and VIP bookings where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with restaurant teams to ensure flawless event delivery and exceptional guest experiences.
- Build lasting relationships that encourage repeat business and customer loyalty.
- Marketing & Brand Awareness
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to maximise local marketing and PR opportunities.
- Support local marketing initiatives that drive awareness, bookings, and community engagement.
- Ensure all activity aligns with Gusto's brand values and standards.
- Act as an ambassador for the Gusto brand within the local community.
