As Senior Assistant General Manager, you will be at the heart of making that vision a reality. Working alongside the General Manager, you will lead from the floor, inspire your team and set the standard for every guest experience. You will balance the art of hospitality with the discipline of running a commercially successful business, ensuring every service is as polished behind the scenes as it is in the dining room. This is a role for a leader who believes that great restaurants are built by great people. Someone who coaches, develops and empowers others whilst never losing sight of the details that make every guest feel special.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Lead the restaurant alongside the General Manager, ensuring every service reflects the GiGi standard.
  • Inspire, coach and develop the team, creating a culture where people feel confident, supported and proud of what they do.
  • Lead by example on the floor, delivering warm, knowledgeable and intuitive hospitality that inspires those around you.
  • Build a highly engaged team through effective recruitment, training, coaching and succession planning.
  • Drive commercial performance by delivering exceptional guest experiences, maximising sales opportunities and controlling labour and costs without compromising hospitality.
  • Oversee the smooth operation of the restaurant, ensuring service flows effortlessly across the dining room, bar and kitchen.
  • Support the planning and execution of private events, celebrations and key business initiatives.
  • Monitor guest feedback, identifying opportunities to continuously improve the experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, health & safety and operational standards.
  • Support the General Manager in delivering business objectives, taking ownership of the restaurant whenever required.
  • Be a champion of the GiGi culture, ensuring every decision reflects our values and vision.

  • Proven experience as an Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager or senior hospitality leader within a premium hospitality environment.
  • A track record of leading successful, high-performing teams.
  • Experience delivering exceptional guest experiences whilst driving commercial performance.
  • Strong understanding of labour management, cost control and operational excellence.
  • Experience recruiting, coaching and developing hospitality professionals.
  • A genuine passion for Italian food, wine and creating unforgettable dining experiences.
