Due to continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious and motivated Trainee Buyer to join our Commercial Team. Based at our Gusto Group Head Office in Collingham, Newark, this role presents an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in procurement and commercial management within a forward-thinking residential construction business.

The successful candidate will become part of our Commercial Team, working alongside an experienced Buyer and supporting the Quantity Surveying and Commercial functions. The role will involve assisting with the procurement of materials, plant and subcontract services across a range of residential construction projects, whilst developing valuable commercial and construction industry knowledge within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Obtain quotations from suppliers
  • Assist in the evaluation of supplier proposals
  • Support the negotiation of contracts
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project requirements are met
