We are now looking for an experienced and practical Site Foreman to join our Construction team.
The Role
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being at the heart of a construction project. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of residential and small commercial sites, coordinating trades, subcontractors, suppliers and deliveries while ensuring projects continue to progress safely, efficiently and to a high standard. You will lead by example and be prepared to undertake practical site duties where required, alongside supervising the quality, safety and progress of works.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising the day-to-day operation of construction sites and keeping works on programme.
- Coordinating site operatives, subcontractors, suppliers, plant and deliveries.
- Monitoring workmanship and ensuring works meet drawings, specifications, building regulations and Gusto standards.
- Carrying out site inspections, quality checks and snagging inspections.
- Promoting a strong Health & Safety culture across the site.
- Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Identifying and resolving day-to-day construction, technical and logistical issues.
- Monitoring progress and highlighting delays, risks or resource requirements to the Contracts Manager.
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, utility providers, local authorities and Building Control.
- Maintaining accurate site records and project documentation.
- Supporting projects through final inspections, snagging, defect rectification and successful handover.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone with previous experience as a Working Foreman, Assistant Site Manager, Site Supervisor or in a similar construction role, ideally with experience across residential housing, housebuilding, refurbishment or general construction. You will need to be organised, approachable and confident coordinating people on site, with the ability to solve problems and make sensible decisions to keep a project moving.
Essential:
- Previous construction site leadership or supervisory experience.
- Good knowledge of construction methods, site operations and Health & Safety requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work certificate.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to motivate and coordinate trades and subcontractors.
- Ability to reliably commute to sites across the Newark and Sleaford area.
Desirable:
- SSSTS, CSCS Supervisor Card or equivalent.
- NVQ Level 3 or above in Construction, Site Supervision or Construction Management.
- Temporary Works Supervisor qualification.

Package Details:
- Salary will be depending on experience. Range between £35,000 - £37,000 per annum. Paid monthly on the last working day of each month.
- You will be contracted to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hours between 7.30 - 5pm, depending on site requirements and time of year (due to lighting).
- 25 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays. This increases by 1 day after 2 full years completed service, then another day after 4 years and another day after 6 years service up to a maximum of 28 days plus bank holidays. Days are deducted annually from leave for a full business closure at Christmas.
- Pension contribution is 4% employee and 3% employer.
- Death in Service benefit.
