Due to continued growth, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Coordinator (with drawing expertise) to join our team. Based at our Gusto Group Head Office in Collingham, Newark, reporting to the Technical Manager, this role is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded professional who enjoys combining design skills with hands-on project coordination. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting projects from concept through to completion, ensuring all design and technical information is accurate, timely, and buildable.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree level qualification in the field is desirable
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; experience with Revit is advantageous but not mandatory.

Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical role within the UK housing and construction industry
  • Strong technical drawing and design abilities with attention to detail
  • Excellent coordination and organisational skills
  • Ability to interpret and review architectural and engineering drawings
  • Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with architects, consultants, subcontractors, site teams, and the various branches of the internal team, working closely towards a common goal
  • Strong knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction methods, planning laws, sectional agreements and social housing requirements is preferable
  • Experience in liaising with Local Authorities, Building Warranty providers, and Utility companies will be highly regarded
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Produce, review, and update technical drawings and documentation
  • Coordinate technical aspects of projects to ensure design accuracy and buildability
  • Liaise with the team, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve design issues
  • Manage construction documentation including drawings, specifications, and schedules
  • Maintain drawing registers and ensure version control across all project documentation
  • Assist with planning applications and compliance with statutory regulations
  • Support procurement processes by reviewing technical specifications and supplier details
  • Attend site meetings and provide ongoing technical support to project teams and stakeholders
  • Ensure statutory approvals, warranties, and compliance documents are obtained and recorded

Package Details

  • Salary: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum depending on experience, paid monthly on the last working day of the month
  • You will be contracted to work 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
  • 25 days annual leave per year plus bank holidays. This increases by 1 day after 2 full years completed service, then another day after 4 years and another day after 6 years service up to a maximum of 28 days plus bank holidays.
  • Days are deducted annually from leave for a full business closure at Christmas.
