Main Responsibilities

Engagement Delivery

  1. Contributing to creative proposals within the engagement team with attention to existing clients and new business.
  2. All proposals to offer creative and innovative solutions, considering the company\’s objectives, ROI, and budget.
  3. Ensuring that the management team is kept in communication, particularly over the larger projects.

Budgets & Profit

  1. Budgets are created to match client budget with an agreed margin.
  2. All suppliers are being costed accurately.
  3. All engagement teams\’ hours are being charged correctly.

Account Management

  1. Account management of key clients and overseeing the team’s figures/account management of clients alongside the Sales Team.
  2. Coordinate and oversee quarterly account management meetings.
  3. Attending all debrief meetings, where relevant, and encouraging the engagement team to ask all the right questions.
  4. Working alongside the Directors to develop and deliver a strategy for the engagement team.
  5. Build relationships with key suppliers to get preferred rates and support for our own projects.
  6. Ensure the team is adding correct mark-ups and negotiating at the point of contract.

Team Management

  1. Recruit, retain, and motivate the engagement team.
  2. This includes weekly catch-ups, yearly performance reviews, checking of work quality and load.
  3. Distributing work throughout the team.
  4. Staffing rota to include management of freelancers.
  5. Management of holidays and absence.

Skills, Competencies and Specialist Knowledge

  1. Experience of both UK and international event and service delivery.
  2. Demonstrates a proven track record in account management and client development in an events agency.
  3. Extensive experience at resource and project planning with the team.
  4. Leading by example and being a senior role model within the company.
  5. Able to acquire and convert new business opportunities into new clients.
  6. Self-motivated to review, improve and perfect the company offering.
  7. Resilient and able to work independently with minimal support and guidance.
  8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  9. Strong negotiation skills.
  10. Social Media – share your work content on social media platforms.

Other Requirements

  1. Ability to travel around the UK & overseas.
  2. Flexible approach to working hours as projects may take place over evenings and/or weekends.
  3. Comply with the company code of conduct at all times.
  4. Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
