We are hiring an Arborist/Tree Surgeon. We are based in Stamford Bridge, York.
About the company: We specialise in eco-friendly tree care and work to protect trees. Our work varies from domestic to commercial, with a 2-4 man team per day. We focus on training and constant improvement.
Looking for someone with a positive attitude, who can graft, have a laugh, is good with customers, professional, prompt, and honest.
Hours: 8am - 4pm
Days: Initially Wed, Thurs, Fri
Required qualifications:
- CS30/31 or equivalent
Desired qualifications:
- CS38/39 or equivalent
- Any extra tickets such as aerial rigging or Ipath will be considered
- Forestry/outdoor or any first aid
Pay offer:
- Starting at £140 per day for groundie with basic tickets
- Climber with basic tickets starting at £150
- Max pay per day £200 based on extra qualifications, years of experience, and performance
Climber expected to bring own climbing kit. We value extra related knowledge and experience, so please provide information about your life experiences and hobbies.
Bonus work available occasionally, e.g., log deliveries after work for extra pay. Performance-based bonuses and a clear defined pay structure are in place.
We have an in-house administrator to keep calendars and invoices organised and prompt. We carry both PLI and employee LI.
If you fit well in the team and perform well, we may consider offering PAYE to those who want it after a year in the company.
House rules:
- Any abuse or unprofessional behaviour towards customers will result in immediate termination.
- Drugs/alcohol on site will result in immediate termination.
- If you are sick, you must call in by 6am on the day.
- Days off require a minimum of 2 weeks' notice.
- Nebligent damage to tools or property will be deducted from wages.
