Role Description The Head of New Business will lead the growth of Guru Technology’s customer base by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities across target markets.
This full-time hybrid role is based in Northampton, with a mix of on-site collaboration and work-from-home flexibility.
Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing a high-performing new business pipeline, conducting outreach and meetings with prospective clients, and designing tailored telecom and technology solutions aligned with customer needs.
The role will oversee new business sales strategies, set revenue targets, and collaborate closely with marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and strong customer experiences.
The Head of New Business will also analyze market trends, refine commercial propositions, report on performance, and mentor team members to support sustainable growth.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in New Business Development and Business Development, with a track record of winning and retaining SME clients.
- Strong skills in Business Planning and Business Strategy, including the ability to create growth plans and align them with company objectives.
- Proven Sales experience, particularly in B2B telecoms, IT, or technology services, with the ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with a consultative approach to solution selling.
- Experience leading or mentoring commercial teams, and collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and customer support.
- Comfort with hybrid working, including regular presence at the Northampton office and client visits as needed.
