ABOUT THE JOB
Gunzilla Games is seeking a Senior UI Artist to work within our UI/UX team on our game OTG (Off The Grid), a AAA Extraction Battle Royale shooter available in Early Access on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The Senior UI Artist will be responsible for visual and interaction design that follows a cohesive style guide and ensures consistency across visual elements and behaviours.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with UX designers to determine functionality and usability requirements.
- Design and create UI components (menus, stats and inventory screens, in-game HUD elements, etc.) from visual concepts to finished features.
- Work with art directors, UI lead, UX designers, game designers, producers, and programmers during UI creation and implementation.
- Contribute to the design and optimization of UI tools and processes.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of professional experience in Visual/User Interface Art with a strong portfolio.
- Experience creating UI assets and styles for at least one published game, preferably on console, with a complete development cycle.
- Strong knowledge of UI design, interaction design, motion graphics, information architecture, and ability to generate design ideas.
- Degree in Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Interactive Media, or equivalent work experience.
- Extensive experience with 2D art and tools like Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and AfterEffects.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills.
- Traditional art skills; experience with 3D is a plus.
- Ability to instruct and give feedback to team members internally and externally.
- Team-oriented, task-driven, self-motivated, proactive, and quick to learn new software and workflows.
- Experience with Unreal Engine or other game engines is a strong plus.
