ABOUT THE JOB
Gunzilla Games is looking for a Senior Technical Artist - VFX/Shaders to join us in working on OTG (Off The Grid), an all-new AAA Extraction Battle Royale shooter, currently available as Early Access on PlayStation5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with VFX and Shaders in Unreal or similar engines to create new features.
- Create and optimize Niagara Systems.
- Take responsibility for the VFX pipeline, briefing, mentoring/informing VFX Artists on best practices, validation/reviews and keeping documentation up to date.
- Confidence in the Material Graph inside Unreal to create any shaders and VFX, and knowledge on how to optimize for performance.
- Working with other departments such as Design, VFX and Env Art to support shaders and VFX.
- Stay current with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve our VFX pipeline.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience with VFX and Shaders in Unreal or similar engines, preferably Niagara.
- Able to author module scripts.
- Experience with Blueprints.
- Experience with Unreal Insights or any profiling tools such as Pix or RenderDoc to diagnose VFX/Rendering performance bottlenecks.
- Previously shipped AAA title as a VFX Artist.
