As Store Manager at the soon-to-open Henri-Lloyd store at Gunwharf Quays, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the store, delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving commercial performance.
About Henri-Lloyd: For over 60 years, Henri-Lloyd has been at the forefront of technical sailing apparel. Born from the sea and shaped by innovation, the brand has equipped generations of sailors, explorers and coastal adventurers with performance clothing designed to perform in the most demanding conditions. We’re opening a new brand store in Portsmouth in June 2026 and are looking for a committed Store Manager to lead the retail team and bring the Henri-Lloyd experience to life in store.
The role: As Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the store, delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving commercial performance. You will play a key role in representing the Henri-Lloyd brand, building strong customer relationships and inspiring your team to perform at their best. This role combines retail leadership, brand storytelling and commercial management.
- Lead and motivate the store team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Drive store sales and KPI performance and achieve commercial targets
- Ensure the store reflects the premium Henri-Lloyd brand standards
- Manage stock levels, visual merchandising and product presentation
- Build strong relationships with customers and the local community
- Oversee staff scheduling, training and development
- Analyse store performance and implement improvements where required
- Maintain operational excellence across the store
About you: We are looking for someone who brings both retail leadership and a passion for the outdoors or sailing culture. You will ideally have:
- Experience managing or supervising a retail team
- Strong commercial awareness and sales focus
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- An interest in sailing, marine environments or outdoor performance apparel (desirable but not essential)
