The Role

Our reputable Property Litigation Partner is seeking the addition of a Property Litigator to join his practice on a part-time remote basis. This part-time role offers a flexible working environment and may suit individuals returning to work or those looking for greater flexibility, without compromising on quality of work. This role is available at any of our SRA-registered offices, including London, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, or can also be carried out remotely.

This is a hands-on role in which you will be involved in a diverse range of litigation matters, including but not limited to:

  • Breach of covenant cases and service charge arrears disputes.
  • Residential possession proceedings, acting for landlords and property owners.
  • Repossession work, advising clients on recovery strategies and enforcement actions.

If you have a minimum of 2 years of experience (qualified or non-qualified) handling complex property disputes and a passion for litigation, we’d love to hear from you. This role is not heavily client-facing, but you will be involved with the complete management of files, taking instructions from the Partner managing files and ensuring that procedures are effectively handled.

Day-to-day Duties

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience within property litigation, possess strong technical expertise, and demonstrate a drive for career progression.

  • Drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Interacting with clients directly under supervision.
  • Assisting with file opening, including preparing draft retainer letters and ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering regulations.
  • Taking detailed instructions from fee earners and providing regular progress updates.
  • Creating bundles and document lists for hearings and trials, ensuring compliance with court guidelines.
  • Filing documents and corresponding with the Court.
  • Managing case timelines and key deadlines.
  • General administration and support.

  • You will have a strong academic background and a degree in law or completion of the law conversion course.
