Due to continued success, our reputable Family Partner—who also serves as the Chair of South Yorkshire Resolution—is seeking an Associate or Senior Associate to join his high-calibre Family Law team in Sheffield.
The Role: We are looking for a Family Solicitor 2–5 years PQE to join our Partner’s fast-growing team in Sheffield. The ideal candidate will demonstrate extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of Family Law and managing a varied caseload independently. The caseload includes but is not limited to divorce & separation, financial remedy & private children arrangements with a focus on non-court dispute resolution. You will be working closely in a team of two, playing a key role in supporting the team and progressing matters. This role provides access to both national and London city work.
Personal Specification: To be successful in the role, you will be 2 – 5 years PQE, with previous experience handling a varied family caseload. You will be passionate, empathetic, efficient, organised, keen to take the initiative and to drive matters forward. The role is based in Sheffield with the flexibility of hybrid working. You will be required in the office one day a week, and the ideal candidate should be open to occasional travel for court hearings.
The ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate:
- A passion for achieving the best outcomes for clients through negotiating skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral including advocacy skills.
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to build strong rapport and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
- Strong IT skills (specifically Outlook, Microsoft Excel/Word and Data Rooms).
- Ability to plan work and prioritise tasks.
- Work well with others as well as an individual.
