The Airport projects department of Gunnebo Entrance Control requires a Project Engineer to support its expansion in the Airport passenger processing solutions. The candidate will oversee the delivery of Airport projects globally. They will work closely with multiple stakeholders, internal and external, to ensure successful project delivery on time, within budget, and with the required quality. The projects will involve different time zones and local teams from various cultures. The Project Engineer will also be required to support some large installations worldwide, with global travel required for this role depending on requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the internal Airport team (Project managers, Bid managers, and Product managers) to provide technical, remote, or on-site support for installation and commissioning.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as the Engineering Team, Operational teams, Global tech support teams, Spare parts teams, and regional Support teams to deliver retrofit projects.
- Enhance Gunnebo documentation for Mass Transit products, including but not limited to: Installation documents, O&M, Process Improvement, and share all feedback with stakeholders to improve processes.
- Assist in installing and testing the products during tradeshows.
- Support prototypes and testing procedures.
- Drive the end-to-end training for products: internal and external training.
Requirements:
- Ability to work within a remote multinational team.
- Being a team player with a results-focused approach.
- Experience in a B-to-B business model.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability to situations.
- Experience in working in large and complex project environments involving the integration of hardware in IT environments.
- Capacity to design optimal solutions considering ROI and limitations of each party, along with risk assessment.
- Highly structured and organised.
- Multi-tasking and ability to work under customer pressure.
- Fluent in English.
- Previous experience in project management of integration projects within the Mass Transit Environment (Airports, Metro, Intelligent Transportation, Fare Collection, etc.).
- Issue resolution skills.
- Other spoken languages are a plus.
