Do you want to be part of creating a safer world?

You meet Gunnebo in everyday life — at home, in transit and at work.

We are present at airports, offices, public spaces, retail environments and transport hubs.

Through smart entrance control and safe storage solutions, we help customers create safer, more efficient environments.

If you are looking to start or grow your sales career within a global, supportive and forward‑thinking organisation, this could be a great opportunity.

Gunnebo is small enough for your contribution to be noticed, and big enough to help you develop your career.

About the role

  • Reporting to the Regional Director – UK & Ireland, you will support new business development across the South East, which includes Central London and Home Counties.

This area may change and expand as you develop with us.

  • This is a junior commercial role, so you will not be expected to know everything from day one.

You will receive guidance from experienced sales and technical colleagues while learning how to identify opportunities, qualify customer needs and progress sales conversations.

  • The role will suit someone who is proactive, curious and comfortable speaking with customers, contractors and partners.

You will help build a pipeline of opportunities, follow up enquiries, arrange meetings and gradually take ownership of smaller opportunities as your confidence and experience grows.

  • Technical support will be available to help with product selection, solution design and customer meetings.

Experience in Entrance Control is not required, although exposure to sales, construction, security, facilities management or similar environments would be useful.

What you will do

  • Research and identify potential new customers, projects and contacts within the South East region.
  • Support the development of a prospect list, pipeline and simple territory plan.
  • Follow up internal enquiries and help qualify whether opportunities are a good fit for Gunnebo.
  • Book and attend customer meetings, initially with support from senior sales or technical colleagues.
  • Learn how to understand customer requirements, including security, operational and budget considerations.
  • Help prepare customer information, basic proposals and presentations with support from the wider team.
  • Develop relationships with existing clients and look for appropriate cross‑selling opportunities.
  • Keep CRM and pipeline information up to date so opportunities are visible and easy to track.
  • Stay aware of local projects, market activity and competitor information.
  • Share updates, questions and potential issues with your manager early so the team can support you.
  • Attend trade shows, exhibitions and customer visits where required.
  • Travel daily within the region as part of the role.

Requirements

  • Someone starting out in their sales career, or looking for a change with transferable skills, ideally with some customer‑facing or sales experience, but more importantly with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
  • A confident communicator who enjoys speaking with people and building relationships.
  • A proactive person who is comfortable picking up the phone, following up leads and asking good questions.
  • Someone organised enough to keep track of prospects, meetings, actions and follow‑ups.
  • A team player who wants to learn from others and contribute to shared success.
  • A curious mindset and an interest in understanding how customers make decisions.
  • Resilience and energy— you will be learning, trying new approaches and improving as you go.
  • A genuine interest in engineering, construction, security and how buildings operate and are secured would be beneficial.
  • A desire to develop and grow your career with Gunnebo.
  • Ideal location would be London, or surrounding counties to London to enable ease of daily travel.

Benefits

  • Sales Commission
  • Company Car
  • Equal opportunity

Gunnebo Entrance Control is an equal opportunity employer.

We welcome applications from all backgrounds and employment decisions are made without regard to race, colour, religion, national or ethnic origin, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, disability, protected veteran status or any other dimension of diversity.
