An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Recruitment professional to join a well-established and highly respected construction recruitment business based in Southampton. This role will suit an ambitious recruiter with strong knowledge of the construction / civil engineering market who is ready to take the next step into leadership, or an existing Team Leader looking for a new challenge with genuine growth potential.

You will be responsible for leading and developing a team of consultants, driving performance, mentoring recruiters and helping grow an already successful construction division.

The Role
  • Lead and support a team of recruitment consultants
  • Drive business performance across contract and/or permanent recruitment
  • Develop client relationships within the construction / civils and infrastructure sector
  • Mentor and develop consultants through coaching, KPI management and regular reviews
  • Support business development and strategic growth plans
  • Work closely with senior leadership to maximise team performance and market presence
  • Maintain a hands-on approach to recruitment where required
About You
  • Proven recruitment experience within the Construction / Civils sector
  • Backgrounds considered include; Main Contracting, Residential, Highways, Utilities, Water, Infrastructure, Groundworks, Civil Engineering
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience is advantageous, although strong Senior Consultants ready to step up will also be considered
  • Strong billing history and client relationship skills
  • Commercially driven with a passion for developing people
  • Excellent communication and leadership ability
