We’re delighted to be working in partnership with an Edinburgh‑based not‑for‑profit organisation, as they look to appoint a Finance Manager to lead the organisation’s financial operations. The role plays a central part in ensuring financial sustainability, supporting service delivery, and enabling informed decision‑making across the organisation.
As Finance Manager, you will take full ownership of day‑to‑day finance, financial controls and reporting. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you will provide clear financial insight, maintain robust processes, and ensure compliance with charity and statutory requirements.
- Lead the day‑to‑day running of the Finance function, ensuring all key deliverables are met.
- Produce monthly management accounts, variance analysis and commentary for senior management.
- Maintain strong financial controls, policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with charity regulations and statutory reporting requirements.
- Lead on finance systems, process improvements and opportunities to streamline workflows.
- Provide financial insight to support operational and strategic decision‑making.
- Oversee aged debtors and aged creditors, ensuring all subsidiary ledgers are up-to-date.
- Ensure accurate financial information is held in accordance with regulations.
Qualifications:
- Part‑Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ICAS) or Qualified by Experience with strong financial management capability.
- Strong understanding of management accounting, budgeting, and financial controls.
- Confident working with senior leaders and non‑finance colleagues.
- Hands‑on, proactive and comfortable managing both routine tasks and higher‑level analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
- A broad, varied finance role with autonomy and scope to improve processes.
- Support for ongoing professional development and qualification progression.
