We are delighted to be working in partnership with a global client of ours as they look to appoint the role of Intercompany & Project Accountant. It’s a key appointment, where you’ll be managing a wide range of financial transactions between various entities within the firm, whilst also offering the opportunity to work on key projects that will enhance the day to day productivity of the firm. It’s a role that will very much appeal to those who are looking for variety within their role, working with a wide range of stakeholders, with an appetite for driving process improvements across the business.

Key areas of responsibility within the role:

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of intercompany accounting procedures
  • Work closely with Project Managers and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support key decision-making
  • Ensure all intercompany transactions comply with company policies (GAAP, FRS 102 and other regulatory requirements)
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements by ensuring that intercompany transactions are accurately reflected
  • Participate in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Process intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate recording in the general ledger
  • Generate intercompany invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of intercompany accounts to ensure all balances are accurate and discrepancies are resolved promptly
  • Work closely with Finance teams across various departments and international offices

The ideal candidate for the post will be fully qualified but due consideration will be given to those who are nearing qualification or Qualified by Experience (QBE). In addition, you will possess considerable experience and expertise in the following areas:

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and project management
  • Ability to analyse complex financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication skills in all forms, allowing you to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation and reporting
  • Proficient in the use of financial software and applications
  • Strong project management skills, most notably around the delivery and automation of finance tasks through the use of AI
