We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working self-employed labourer to join us on an ad-hoc basis, helping with house moves and furniture deliveries.
Role:
- Removals labour / porter work – lifting, carrying and loading
- Driving our van on some jobs (if needed)
- Mostly ad hoc / intermittent work over the winter, with more regular days going into spring/summer
- Shifts range from 2 hours (minimum £30) up to 12 hours, depending on the job
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence
- Own car essential – to get to and from jobs
- Previous experience in removals or similar physical work
- Punctual, polite and good with customers
- Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
- Self-employed (able to invoice for work)
- No drink or drugs – must be sober and reliable
Pay:
- £15 per hour – labour / porter
- £17.50 per hour – driving
- Paid weekly on Fridays, one week in hand
