Position: Live In / Live Out Nanny Housekeeper / Cook Location: Ashington, West Sussex Start Date: ASAP Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am-10 am and 4pm-9pm, plus a few hours on Sunday afternoon Children: 4 years old, 8 years old and a newborn Job reference: 0210NHKC978 A welcoming family based in Ashington, West Sussex is seeking a warm, reliable and experienced full time nanny / housekeeper / cook to support with their three children, aged 4, 8 and a newborn, while also helping with the general upkeep of their home. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys combining childcare, housekeeping and cooking responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for children of different ages, including newborns, and will be confident managing busy morning, school and evening routines. They should be organised, proactive and happy to take responsibility for general housekeeping and preparing family meals. The family can accommodate either a live-in or live-out arrangement.
Duties include:
- providing warm, attentive and nurturing care for the children
- providing appropriate care and support for the newborn
- supporting the children's morning and evening routines
- helping the children get ready for school
- school drop-offs and collections when required
- preparing breakfasts, snacks and simple family meals
- preparing bottles and meals for the newborn when required
- assisting with homework, reading and school activities
- organising fun and age-appropriate activities
- taking the children to clubs, activities and appointments when required
- supporting bath time and bedtime routines
- keeping the children's bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- organising children's clothing, school uniforms and belongings
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- washing up and tidying after meals
- preparing ingredients and planning family meals
- running occasional household errands when required
- being comfortable working in a home with two rabbits
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly
