A lovely family based in Poole is seeking an experienced and caring full-time live-in nanny housekeeper to care for their 1-year-old child while supporting the smooth running of their home. The family are also expecting their second baby in November 2026, making this an exciting long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys growing with a family. Evening babysitting may occasionally be required, with plenty of notice given in advance. The family are happy to offer either live-in accommodation within the family home or separate accommodation nearby. The ideal candidate will be warm, organised and proactive, with previous experience caring for young children and maintaining a well-run household. Excellent references are essential.
Duties
- Providing attentive and nurturing care for the 1-year-old child
- Supporting feeding, nap and developmental routines
- Planning engaging and age-appropriate activities
- Preparing healthy meals and snacks for the child
- Supporting the child’s learning and developmental milestones
- Assisting with the transition to welcoming a new baby later in the year
- General housekeeping and maintaining high standards throughout the home
- Cleaning kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and living areas
- Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care for the family
- Making beds and changing bed linen
- Keeping the nursery, children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Running household errands and grocery shopping when required
- Preparing simple family meals when needed
- Providing occasional evening babysitting by prior arrangement
- Ensuring the home remains organised, welcoming and running smoothly each day
