This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys combining childcare with housekeeping responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and confident caring for school-aged children. They should be happy supporting the children's after-school routines, preparing meals and keeping the home clean and well organised. A driver is essential, and the candidate must be comfortable around pets.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and supportive care for the children
- supporting the children's after-school and evening routines
- helping with homework, reading and school projects
- organising fun and age-appropriate activities
- taking the children to clubs, activities and appointments when required
- school collections and drop-offs when needed
- preparing healthy meals and snacks for the children
- encouraging the children to maintain tidy bedrooms and organised belongings
- carrying out general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning and tidying bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- organising children's clothing, school uniforms and belongings
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- washing up and tidying after meals
- running occasional household errands when required
- being comfortable working in a home with pets
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly
