A family based in South Hackney, London, are looking for a warm, dependable and organised part time nanny / housekeeper to care for their 2-year-old child and assist with the general running of their home. This is a varied role for someone who enjoys spending time with toddlers while also taking pride in keeping a household clean and organised.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for young children and understand the importance of providing a safe, happy and stimulating environment. They should be proactive, patient and able to manage the child’s routine alongside household duties during the afternoon.

Duties include:

• providing attentive and loving care for the child
• following the child’s daily routine, including snacks and rest time
• preparing simple meals and healthy snacks
• planning age-appropriate play and learning activities
• encouraging the child’s language development and independence
• taking the child outdoors for walks and activities when suitable
• keeping the child’s toys, clothes and belongings organised
• tidying the child’s bedroom and play areas
• carrying out general housekeeping throughout the home
• cleaning and maintaining the kitchen, bathrooms and living areas
• dusting, vacuuming and mopping floors as required
• managing laundry, folding clothes and putting items away
• changing bed linen and making beds
• washing up and keeping kitchen surfaces clean
• keeping household areas neat and presentable
• organising household items and replenishing essentials when needed
• keeping the parents informed about the child’s day and routine

Requirements:

• Paediatric First Aid
• Enhanced DBS check
