A lovely family based in Clapham are seeking an experienced part time nanny housekeeper / cook to care for their 4-year-old child while providing support with housekeeping and meal preparation.

This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who enjoys combining childcare with household responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for young children, be confident managing after-school and evening routines and enjoy preparing fresh, healthy meals.

They should also be organised and happy to assist with general housekeeping duties to help keep the home clean, tidy and running smoothly.

Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.

Duties include

  • providing attentive and nurturing care for the child
  • supporting the child’s after-school routine
  • planning fun and age-appropriate activities
  • organising creative and outdoor play
  • preparing healthy snacks and meals
  • preparing fresh home-cooked meals for the family
  • planning simple menus according to the family’s preferences
  • assisting with bath time and evening routines
  • providing occasional evening babysitting every second Friday
  • undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
  • cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
  • vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
  • laundry and ironing
  • making beds and changing bed linen
  • keeping the child’s bedroom and play areas tidy and organised
  • maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
  • running occasional household errands when required
  • ensuring the home remains clean, organised and welcoming at all times
