A lovely household in Redbridge, London, is seeking an experienced and reliable part time housekeeper / cook to help keep their home clean, organised and running smoothly. This role would suit someone who enjoys maintaining a well-presented home and preparing fresh, home-cooked meals.
The ideal candidate will be organised, trustworthy and able to work independently, with good attention to detail and previous experience in a similar role. They should be confident managing general housekeeping duties alongside cooking and be comfortable working in a home with pets.
Duties
- maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- dusting, vacuuming, mopping and polishing surfaces
- making beds and changing bed linen
- managing laundry, ironing and putting clothes away
- keeping cupboards and storage areas tidy
- planning and preparing fresh, nutritious meals
- catering to the household's food preferences
- organising food shopping and keeping track of kitchen supplies
- cleaning kitchen appliances and worktops after cooking
- washing up and keeping the kitchen tidy
- monitoring household essentials and replenishing supplies
- keeping the home neat, comfortable and well maintained
- carrying out occasional household errands when required
- being comfortable around pets
