Duties and Responsibilities
- To plan a programme of high quality activities suitable to the age range of children
- To deliver high quality activities / interactions with the children
- To keep a proper up to date assessment folder for your key children
- To be an effective key person
- To follow the Staff Code of Conduct
- To follow all setting Policies and Procedures
- Liaising effectively with parents/carers and other family members
- To be flexible within the working practices of the setting, including undertaking certain domestic jobs within the Setting, e.g. preparation of snack meals, cleansing of equipment etc.
- Recording accidents in the accident book and ensuring the manager has initialled the report before the parent receives it
- To ensure every child is collected by someone known to the setting and visitors are checked appropriately before entering
- To respect the confidentiality of any information received
- To be aware of the high standards of the setting and to uphold its reputation at all times
- To actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring the setting Safeguarding Policy is observed at all times
