LIVE-IN NANNY-HOUSEKEEPER – ANDOVER, HAMPSHIRE | PRIVATE ACCOMMODATION
A private family near Andover, Hampshire, is looking for a warm, reliable and proactive Live-in Nanny-Housekeeper for a permanent, long-term position. The successful nanny-housekeeper may be accompanied by a partner. The partner can share the accommodation, but there is no separate employment available. In return, a few hours of practical help each week would be expected. No pets or dependent children.
Location: Near Andover, Hampshire
Start: As soon as possible
Salary: £35,000–£40,000 gross per year, depending on experience and suitability
Accommodation: Provided
Work vehicle: Provided for work-related driving
Working days: Normally Monday–Friday
Hours: Approximately 8:00am–6:00pm
Holiday: 28 days per year
ABOUT THE FAMILY
The family lives in a five-bedroom home near Andover. They generally stay in Hampshire during the week and travel to Devon at weekends. The main focus of the role will be caring for the baby, who is due at the end of November, while also helping with the smooth day-to-day running of the household. There are also two older children — a 14-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy — who attend boarding school. They usually return home for two nights at weekends, although not every weekend. During the longer school holidays, they spend most of their time at home, with some time also spent with their father.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Caring for the baby and providing attentive, responsible and age-appropriate childcare
- Helping with the older children when required
- Driving and collecting the children when needed
- General housekeeping and maintaining the home to a high standard
- Cleaning, laundry and ironing
- Preparing simple family meals
- Unpacking and putting away shopping
- Walking the family dog when required
- Helping with other reasonable day-to-day household duties
One evening of babysitting per week is included in the agreed package. Any additional evenings would be compensated with time off in lieu. The normal working week is Monday to Friday. Some occasional weekend flexibility may be required, particularly when the family remains in Hampshire, and any changes would be discussed in advance.

ACCOMMODATION
Initially, the successful candidate will have her own private bedroom and bathroom within the family home. A new private accommodation is expected to be ready around November/December 2026, including:
- A private kitchen and sitting room
- Private bathroom
