A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced private chef to join a lovely family, working between their homes in Belgravia, London and Groombridge, Kent. The successful candidate will primarily work at the Belgravia residence during the week, with weekends and some holidays spent at the family’s Kent home. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate chef who enjoys creating high-quality, nutritious meals in a private household environment.

The ideal candidate will be creative, organised and adaptable, with previous experience working as a private chef. A confident driver is essential due to the travel required between the two properties. The successful applicant will have excellent knowledge of a variety of cuisines, be confident catering to different dietary preferences and be able to work independently to a high standard.

Duties include:

  • Planning varied and nutritious weekly menus
  • Preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner as required
  • Cooking fresh, seasonal and high-quality meals
  • Catering for family members and guests when required
  • Accommodating dietary requirements and personal preferences
  • Shopping for fresh produce and household food supplies
  • Managing kitchen stock and food inventory
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
  • Organising the pantry, fridge and freezer
  • Preparing meals for entertaining and special occasions
  • Batch cooking and preparing meals in advance when required
  • Liaising with the family regarding menus and meal planning
  • Travelling between the family’s London and Kent residences
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and well-managed kitchen at all times

Requirements:

  • Current Enhanced DBS
  • UK Work Permit
  • Valid Driver’s License
