A lovely family based in Hillingdon are seeking an experienced live in nanny / housekeeper to care for their two children, aged 4 and 7 years old, while helping with the general upkeep of their home. This is a varied role suited to a warm, reliable and proactive candidate who enjoys combining childcare with household responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for young children and be confident managing school and nursery routines, after-school activities and evening routines. They should also be organised, practical and happy to assist with housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation. Previous private household experience and excellent references are essential.
Duties include:
- providing attentive and nurturing care for the children
- supporting the children’s morning and evening routines
- helping the children get ready for school and nursery
- school and nursery drop-offs and collections when required
- preparing healthy breakfasts, snacks and simple meals
- assisting with homework, reading and school-related tasks
- planning fun and age-appropriate activities
- organising creative, educational and outdoor play
- taking the children to clubs, activities and appointments when required
- supporting bath time and bedtime routines
- keeping the children’s bedrooms and play areas tidy and organised
- organising school bags, uniforms and children’s belongings
- undertaking general housekeeping duties throughout the home
- cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas
- vacuuming, mopping, dusting and polishing household surfaces
- laundry and ironing
- making beds and changing bed linen
- wardrobe and clothing care
- maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- preparing simple family meals when required
- washing up and tidying after meals
- running occasional household errands
- ensuring the home remains clean, organised and running smoothly
